New Technology in gas: Experience and Succession, 4th research and practice youth conference

October 18-19  - Russian Research Institute for Natural Gases and Gas Technologies, part of Gazprom company, has held New Technology in gas: Experience and Succession, 4^th research and practice youth conference.

The Conference has focused on geology, field development, drilling, preparation, transportation, and underground gas storehouse, processing and usage of gas, environmental and industrial safety, energy efficiency, risk analysis and economics.
About 120 young scientists and specialists from Gazprom group, education institutions and business-partners have participated in the conference. 120 works have been presented in the following directions:
1. Geology and gas field development, drilling and gas underground storehouse.
2. Transportation, processing and usage of gas.
3. Environmental and industrial safety. Energy efficiency. Risk analysis. Economics.

Our engineers have presented their works at the conference as well.

S. Ivanov, head of science and research department, PhD, presented Resource-efficient technology for APG preparation  paper on maximizing APG utilization and resource conservation. The author set out the arguments for extracting lighter liquid hydrocarbons from APG and mix them with degassed oil to enhance oil output. His paper evoked the interest from Gazprom group participants.
B. Korneev, developer, presented Dehydration of hydrocarbon gases paper. Korneev reviewed  prerequisites for introducing innovative technologies for gas preparation and contributed to hydrate formation kinetics research. The hydrocarbon gas drying method with gas hydrates was shown on the example of the hydrate plug formations in gas pipelines. Gas drying with applying acceleration of hydrate formation was examined. His paper also provoked the interest from Gazprom group participants.  

                  There was also a round-table discussion with covering a huge scope of themes.
